Our apologies for being offline over 12 hours today. Microsoft suffered a catastrophic worldwide failure of their Windows Azure cloud service at 3:44pm ET this afternoon lasting until around 4am (by which point I had fallen asleep, tired of waiting for them to fix shit). Service should be fully restored now - let's hope it stays that way.

REMINDER:  This evening is the TRF-NGA tournament. All captains should make sure their teams are registered on here and at  TRFPro (where you'll also need to invite your teammates, and they must accept the invites). Teams not fully registered will not be guaranteed a spot in the tournament, however we'll still try to get you all in.  Captains must show up one hour before the tournament begins to check-in, or your team will not be included.

We will send out reminders directly to all of the captains via e-mail and XBL in the next few hours, as we add the teams to the stats system.

I should also mention to make sure the gamertags on your registration are spelled correctly! Send us a message if you need to make any corrections or changes. Rosters lock one hour before the tournament begins. Invalid gamertags will not be added to your official roster.

Also, I plan to add more server power to the site before the tournament begins, just to avoid issues like we had during the last draft. If you want to help in that department, you can! Just try to give the site a work out this morning/afternoon, the performance data that's collected will help me adjust things more accurately. :)

Finally,  should the website experience another outage:  You may still be able to access the site at  www.grifball.net even if grifball.net without the www is down. If neither works, try  grifball.cloudapp.net since it updates faster after an outage.

This is TRF Pro's very first Grifball Tournament. Prizes are sponsored by our friends over at TheRealForums. The rules and event are being officiated by the NGA. The first matches will be kicking off at 5pm Eastern.

LIVE commentary will be on TRF Radio, found under the Media tab at TheRealForums, and also during select matches which will be streamed LIVE on the NGA Twitch channel and here at Grifball.net. If you want any of your game footage to be highlighted on the YouTube channel, send your clips to CoachSCIL.

Support from our staff will be available live on the TRF Shoutbox and NGA Chatbox by clicking on Forum on either website. If you have questions, concerns, or feedback please visit the Forums on either site.

Captains must register their team for the event here at Grifball.net and also at TRF Pro. All players must also register at TRF Pro to accept their invitation to the team. Both team registrations must be completed and invitations accepted before the entry is official.

This tournament will be a single-elimination bracket of 16 teams, played on NGA Realism and/or NGA Realism NH using a variant of the official Grifball matchmaking gametype modified to have five untimed rounds. Rosters are for 4-6 players, no substitutions, and rosters will be locked 2 hours before the event starts when teams are required to check in.
